Dearest Trish and Dan,
Over the past several years my family has enjoyed the benefit of having our grandmother in your care. It is now in the waning moments of her life that I can really reflect on what she has meant to our family. There are so many memories of the little things she would do for her grandchildren that have no doubt shaped the way I am today. It is that thought that makes me think of all the little things you did for her. The service you provide was so vital to her living her last years to their fullest and with as much dignity as possible.
My brother and I have talked at length about how nice it was to know that Grandma had everything she needed and wanted 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Kevin is a fireman and has told me he has been to literally hundreds of assited care facilities and has said many times that yours is the nicest one he has been in. Being in business for myself, I can appreciate what it takes to be the best. And that is what you are! From the craftsmanship in bulding the hourse, to the around to clock care, it is very obvious that you take a great deal of pride in what you do. Thank God for that, because anyone can run a business just to turn a profit. To run a business to not only make money but to make a DIFFERENCE in people's lives is a very special thing that only very special people achieve in this life.
Many things come easy to me, but caring for the sick and elderly is not one of them. It is for that reason that I can truly appreciate what you do. The cheerful attitude and joyfulness that you bring to work is nothing short of amazing and does not go unnoticed. In fact my Dad has said on several occasions that if he were to live his last years in a home like yours he would consider himself a winner in this game of life. I only popped by every couple of months to check in on Grandma and every time I would ask her the same question, "Is there anything I can get for you or anything you need?" The answer she gave me every time was, "no, everything is taken care of, but thanks." Every time. Not once did she say she would like this or that, which gave me great peace of mind that Grandma was a comfortable as she could be.
Thank you so much for being so good at what you do. It is truly a priceless service you provide with such joy.
Forever grateful,
Jeff Byrne
